Eric Dwayne Newman
Age 41 of New Lothrop passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2020.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, July 4, 2020 at New Lothrop Nazarene Church with Pastor Brashaw officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday, July 3rd from 2:00 to 8:00pm.
Eric was born on August 29, 1978 to Garth and Georgianne (Eisenhauer) Newman in Flint. He graduated from New Lothrop High School with the class of 1997, and he earned his Associate in Nursing Degree from Mott Community College. Eric worked as a Registered Nurse for McLaren Hospital in Flint. He was a wonderful, compassionate nurse who was loved by everyone.
Eric married the love of his life, Shannon Emerick on October 11, 2013. During his life, Eric loved Harleys, craft beer, and all of his many collections. He played on a bowling league and softball league with his family. He enjoyed traveling and hunting. Above all, Eric loved his kids and family.
Eric is survived by his wife of 6 years, Shannon Newman; his children, Quinn Newman, Ethan Smith, Zoey Newman, and Jaxon Newman; his parents, Garth and Georgianne Newman; his brothers, Garrett (Tina) Newman and Alex (Stacy) Newman; his uncles, Kirk Newman (Tammy Licquia) and Barry (Christine) Palmer; his siblings-in-law, Richard Emerick, Trish Emerick, and Chad Emerick; and several other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He is predeceased by his grandparents and his uncle, Kevin Newman.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the family.
