FLANAGIN, Janet Mae – of Clio, age 85, died Thursday, June 25, 2020 at her residence. A private family service will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Ed Emmerling officiating. The family will receive visitors on Monday, June 29, 2020 from 4-8 PM at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Memorial contributions can be made to Kindred Hospice.
Janet was born October 9, 1934 in Brown City, Michigan to the late George and Agnes (Moyer) Young. She grew up in Brown City, Michigan and moved to Flint, graduating from Beecher High School with the class of 1952. On November 7, 1953 she married John W. Flanagin and he preceded her in death on May 18, 2009. Janet was a Girl Scout Leader for several years. She enjoyed crocheting, coin collecting, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are: Children, Neil Flanagin, Mark (Shirley) Flanagin, Alan Flanagin, Dale (Vickie) Flanagin, Eric (Rungrueang) Flanagin; Son in law, Richard Bugh; 16 Grandchildren; 5 Step-Grandchildren; 20 Great Grandchildren; Siblings, Mary Brown, Joan (Joseph) Vermette, Sheila Moyer; several nieces and nephews.
