MANGAPORA, Linda (Stacks) - Of Flint and Grand Blanc, age 75, died Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Tranquility Estates in Grand Blanc.
Funeral service will be held 11am Thursday May 2, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to Brazos Valley Food Bank or the Flint YMCA Boys and Girls Club.
Visitation 4-8pm Wednesday and 10am Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Linda was born in Empire, Alabama on December 19, 1943, the daughter of the late Walter and Louese (Speigle) Stacks. On April 25, 1964, she married John Mangapora and he preceded her in death on July 4, 2014. Linda had a passion for gardening and found spiritual guidance through nature and mediation. She was crafty and enjoyed sewing and knitting. She dedicated time knitting hats for newborns and blankets for dogs and cats at the humane society. She even volunteered with the Red Cross after Hurricane Katrina. Linda was most proud of her children and grandchildren and their accomplishments. Her time spent with them was very special, attending many sports activities, dance recitals and family get-togethers. She will be greatly missed.
Surviving are children, John (Leslie) Mangapora of Clarkston, MI, Brian (Tricia) Mangapora of Midland, MI, Theresa (Brian Shaw) Mangapora of College Station, TX and Amy Mangapora Britton of Grand Blanc, MI;
grandchildren, Ryan Mangapora, Alyssa Mangapora, Carter Mangapora and Abby Britton;
and sister, Janie (Jim) Flemming.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, John Michael Mangapora on their 55th wedding anniversary.
