MORGAN, Agnes E. – Of Grand Blanc, age 81, left for her new Home on Monday, July 9, 2012 at her residence.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, July 13, 2012 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 East Bristol Road, Father Steve Anderson officiating.

Entombment at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Those desiring may make contributions to the Make A Wish Foundation and/or the U of M Children’s Hospital.

Visitation 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. A Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Morgan will be at the church from 10 a.m. Friday until the time of the Mass.

Agnes was born in Flint, Michigan on July 25, 1930, the daughter of Stanley and Agnes Miarka, and was a resident of the Flint area, Flushing and Grand Blanc all of her life.

She married Wallace Morgan, her husband and best friend on September 6, 1952 in Flint, Michigan.

She was a very active member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, where she participated in the Council of Catholic Women and Our Lady of Guadalupe Guild. She was also a member of the General Motors Institute Alpha Iota Sorority.

Mrs. Morgan was employed by the Genesee County Register of Deeds before moving to Amarillo, Texas where she was employed by the Southwestern Public Service Company. Upon returning to Flint, Mrs. Morgan was employed by the Flint Schools, as an executive secretary, for 30 years, spending the last 7 years at the Flint Public Library before retiring in 1993.

She enjoyed playing golf and doing crafts. Traveling with her husband, Wally, was one of her passions and they saw much of the world together.

Surviving are husband, Wallace "Wally";

A host of close family and friends who were very special.

Agnes was blessed to have lived a life full of close family and wonderful friends, too numerous to name here; however a thank you goes to her special angel, Cheryl Lowrey, her much loved cousins and all her friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Agnes (Schaeffer) Miarka.
