CICALO, Matteo F. “Mike” – of Albee Township, age 76, died Thursday, June 30, 2011 at his residence. Funeral services will be 11 AM Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Birch Run. Burial will be at Birch Run Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 2-8 PM. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Mike was born December 3, 1934 in Saginaw to the late Anthony and Ann (Salinski) Cicalo. He resided in Albee Township since 1963. He married Shirley Creamer on September 25, 1954. Mr. Cicalo retired from Ternstedt October 1992 with over 33 years seniority and was a member of the UAW Local #326. He was an old car enthusiast.
Surviving are: wife, Shirley; 6 children, Sue (Kenneth) Meader of Saginaw, Mike (Cindy) Cicalo of Chesaning, Carol (Keith) Cooper of Burt, Janet Cicalo of Montrose, Paul Cicalo of Montrose, Judy (John) Peruski of Montrose; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; siblings, Carol McKay of Burt, Jim (Dorothy) Coulter of NY, Dorothy Peterson of Dollar Bay; nieces, nephews and the 7 Hodge kids. He was also preceded in death by: his “mom” Mary; brother, Anthony Cicalo; daughter-in-law, Jan Monroe; and a brother-in-law, Wayne Peterson.
