MILLER, Cheryl V. (Giguere) – of Flint, age 79, passed away August 24, 2011 at Brian’s House Hospice. A Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, August 27, 2011 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Kenneth Miller officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brian’s House Hospice.
Cheryl was born in Flint, MI on March 31, 1932, daughter of the late Lawrence and Ilene (Wagner) Giguere. She married Max A. Miller September 29, 1951 and he preceded her in death July 30, 1988. Cheryl was an avid bowler with the Blue Jay Flyers. She also enjoyed golfing, camping and fishing. Cheryl graduated in 1950 from Kearsley, and helped organize the class reunion every year. She was a Seamstress, and also retired from Kearsley where she worked as a food service worker. Cheryl loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren.
Cheryl is survived by her children, Debra (Guy) Courts, Linda (Larry) Gembel, Jim (Kelly) Miller; grandchildren, Christopher (Gina) Gembel, Jennifer Ann Gembel, Guy Courts II, Matt (Jeanann) Miller, Jack Miller; great-grandchildren, Addison and Emma Miller, Maria Gembel; many loved nieces; nephews; and many special friends; her faithful companion, Lucky. She was preceded in death by her sister, Rose and brother-in-law Don Rood. The family would like to say a special thanks to Lori and Burr.
