MELTON, Rev. F. Wayne - Of Flint, age 78, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2011 at home.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at the Harvest Time Tabernacle, G7370 Fenton Road,
Rev. Pancoast and Rev. Les Melton officiating.
Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Nicaragua Bible Institute or the Alzheimer’s Association.
Visitation 2-4 p.m. and 6-8p.m. Sun. and 4-8 p.m. Mon. at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 W. Hill Rd, Flint. Rev. Melton will be at the church 10 a.m. Tue. until the time of the service.
Wayne was born in Martin, Tennessee on May 3, 1933, son of the late Jesse and Georgia Melton. Wayne served in the U.S. Army during 1953-1956 in Korea. He married Lonnie Beeler in Hoxie, Ark. on Feb. 16, 1957. Wayne became an Ordained Minister with the PCG in 1965.
Surviving are wife, Lonnie;
sons, Les (Charlene) and Dan (Shawna);
daughter, Rhonda;
grandchildren, Scott, Craig, Rosalie, Brock, Kerrigan, Evan and Troy;
sister, Dorothy (Dalmus) Owens;
and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by infant sister Marie, brother Joe, sister Pat.
