WILSON, Winifred "Dean" Sr.- Age 78, of Flint, died Thursday, March 24, 2016. Funeral services will be held 11AM Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Pastor Dan Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5PM-8PM Monday and 10AM Tuesday until time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice House of Shiawassee County (HHSC), 2005 E. Copas Rd., Owosso MI 48867. Dean was born May 17, 1937 in Page, Virginia, the son of Banner and Alice (Ball) Wilson. He married Cora "Faye" Hale on August 16, 1957 in Lebanon, Virginia. He worked at General Motors V8 plant as a Machine Repairman retiring in 1987. Dean was a member of the UAW Local 659 and a member of Crossroads Temple.
Dean is survived by his wife, Cora "Faye"; children, Winifred Jr. "Wyn" (Gayle) Wilson of Lansing, Jeffrey (LaVange) Wilson of Indianapolis,IN, Toni (Paul) Cotti of Grand Prairie, TX, Donna Wilson of Namibia, Africa; grandchildren, Nathan (Anju) Wilson, Jonathan (Casey) Wilson, Andrew Wilson, Luke Wilson, and Jaina Wilson, Joshua (Bianca) Lane, Benjamin Lane; great-grandchildren, Grace,Tristan, Fiona, Alexis, Rhys, Cameron ; siblings, Carol (A.D.)Dalton, Barbara Rappuhn, Brenda Hastings, Douglas (Germaine ) Wilson, Kelly (Carol) Wilson and Jerry Wilson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; great grandson, David; sister, Erma; brothers, Bob and Leon.
