CROWE, William - He left this world on March 27, 2015 surrounded by family, under the care of hospice Athens limestone hospital, Alabama.
Funeral service will be held 1pm Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at the Swartz Funeral Home 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Mr. Gary Turner officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Visitation 1-4pm and 6-8pm Monday and 11am Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Husband, father, grandfather, brother (Davison Mi) William Crowe, ( Bill, Bud) has gone to meet the Lord and be with him forever. Born August 6, 1939 of Jesse and Mattie Bell Crow in Dickson, Tennessee recently moved to Athens, Alabama, Bud enjoyed the majority of his years in Michigan. He was an active member of Bethel Church of Christ In Alabama and Grand Blanc Church of Christ in Michigan. He enjoyed many years as a member of the Shriners and Hillbilly Clan #55, he also became a member of the Lions Club of Athens, AL. He dedicated himself to auto-body repair at Victor George Oldsmobile of Grand Blanc, MI for 44 years. He leaves behind his loving wife of 50 years: Joyce Crowe (Swinney). His children: Sherri (Mark) Crowe and Melody (Dan) Shepherd. Grandchildren: Abigail Garrett (18), Jackson Garrett(16), McKenna Maxfield (13) and Gavin Shepherd (9). Sister: Sylvia (Roy) Hughey. Brother: James (Pat)Crow. Bill was a master at gardening, an excellent cook and a devoted Detroit Tigers' fan! Over the years he participated on many sports leagues, including golf, bowling, baseball, softball, volleyball and horseshoes. Whether it was a dartboard or a pool table, he was always up to the challenge and had a gift with anything he tried. He had a good sense of humor and people enjoyed being around him. He loved to fellowship with family and friends. Whether it was eating one of his BBQ sandwiches, gathering at a fish fry or hearing him brag about his grandchildren, he was loved, respected and will be missed by many, including nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. We are grateful for the memories with him and his example of loving The Lord.
Preceded by brother Robert (Bobbie ) Crowe, Sister Barbara Grandstaff, and Sister Judy Green.
