Rudolph (Rudy) K Freund Age 76, of Morrice, MI passed away Wednesday, May 1st. A funeral service will be held in Perry on Saturday May 4, 2013 at 11:00 at Watkins Brothers Funeral Home with Pastor John Walworth officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening 6-8 pm and on Friday 2-4 & 6-8 pm. There will be a Masonic Service on Friday at 7:30 at the funeral home. Rudy was born in Flint on December 1, 1936, the son of Rudolf and Lydia (Kettlehut) Freund. He was a graduate of Flushing High School and GMI Institute, working as an Electrician Forman; retiring after 45 years at Metal Fab. He was a member of Bay City Masonic Temple, Bay City Elf Khurafeh, Flint Shrine Club, and Owosso Masonic Lodge. On September 1, 1956 he married Gladys (Stephens) at Halsey Methodist Church in Grand Blanc. He is survived by his loving wife Gladys; son, Scott Freund of Incline Village, NV; Steve Freund (Michele) of Morrice, MI; daughter, Kelly (Scott) Nover of Perry, MI; along with his grandchildren, Alan Freund of Kalamazoo, MI; Nic (Sarina) Nover of Kalamazoo; Arron (Amy) Verret of West Palm Beach, FL; Tialha Nover of Pasadena, CA; and Andy (Megan) Freund of Morrice, MI; Sister-In-Law, Leona (Willie) Hale; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his father and mother Rudolf and Lydia Freund, and both brothers, Erwin and Siegfried Freund.
