JOHNS, Brad Lee – of Davison, age 60, went home to be with the Lord May 24, 2018 at his residence surrounded by family. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Wednesday May 30, 2018 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 6434 Richfield Rd., Flint, MI 48506; Pastor John Scally officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. Visitation will be 1-4 PM Monday, 12-3 PM and 5-8 PM Tuesday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church Camp Scholarship Fund or Davison Schools Cardinal Care Fund.
Brad was born in Flint, MI on November 7, 1957, son of the late Raymond and Hilda (Roseberry) Johns. He married Sue Parks on July 26, 1980. Brad retired from Buick in 2005. For 20 years, he was known as “Mr. Lunchlady” at Davison Community Schools. He was an active member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Brad enjoyed camping, boating, fishing and all outdoor activities. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
Brad is survived by his wife, Sue; children, Jeffrey (Samantha), Michael (Casie) and Katie (Drew) Dodds; grandchildren, Brandon Lee Dodds, Ziva Giovanna Johns and Maxwell James Dodds; siblings, Mark (Mary) Johns, Kris (Joanne) Johns, Jan (Gary) Martin, Greg (Lisa) Johns and Jill (Eric) Johnson; father and mother in-law, Don and Irma Parks; in-laws, Gary (Patty) Parks, Ann Ellsworth-Parks, Nancy Parks, Steve Parks, Alan (Jutta) Parks, Carmen Parks and Laura (Eric) Johns; many favorite nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sister-in-law, LuAnne Johns; nephew, Kyle Martin; niece, Lydia Parks.
