SPENCER, Timothy A. – of Davison, age 66, passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at Ascension Genesys Hospital. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 11 AM Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Rev. Robert D. Taylor officiating. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Monday and 10 AM until time of service on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fowlerville Athletic Boosters.
Tim was born in Flint, MI on October 14, 1952, son of the late Kenneth and Martha (Slater) Spencer. He graduated from Bentley High School class of 1970 and Western Michigan University in 1974. Tim married Susie Hutchinson on August 24, 1974. He was a member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church and the Davison Country Club. Tim enjoyed watching all of his grandchildren play sports. He loved golf, bowling, camping and spending time with his family and friends and watching University of Michigan Sports. He worked for the State of Michigan Department of Social Service, retiring in 2002.
Tim is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sue; daughter, Michele (Brian) Ray; grandchildren, Breanne, Hannah, Brendan, Tyler and Peyton Ray; sister, Karen (Bill) McDonald; brothers, Ron (Cheryl) Spencer and Mark Spencer; nieces and nephews, Angela (Adrian) Wright, Bill (Teresa) McDonald, Matt (Rheannon) McDonald, Sarah (Mike) Summitt, Jenni (Eric) Matsko and Ken (Tara) Spencer; many aunts, uncles and cousins; “adopted” daughter, Becky (Rick) Pratt; grandchildren, Skylar and Jade Pratt; special friends, John and Julie Bastianelli, Thad and Pat Cook, Abby and Kris Cameron, Peg and Dana Jury and Gary and Liz Foster. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Martha Spencer; daughter, Kristin Spencer and his little buddy, Thad Anthony Cook.
