GROSSI, Anna Marie “Lola” – Of Flint, age 90, died Saturday, January 26, 2013 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held at the 11:30 a.m. Saturday, February 2, 2013 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Deacon Michael Dear officiating.
Entombment at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Michael Catholic Church or North End Soup Kitchen.
Visitation 10:30 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Anna was born in Greene County, Pennsylvania on January 6, 1923, the daughter of the late Alex and Florence (Bufalini) Pellegrini and was a resident most of her life in the Flint and Grand Blanc area.
On January 16, 1946 she married Rocco Grossi.
Anna was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church.
Lola worked side by side with her husband, Rocco, with all of their business ventures.
Surviving are children, Roxanne (Timothy) Roach and Roderick (Holly);
grandchildren, Rocky John III, Katie Roach, Dominic, Madison and August Grossi and Scott Graham;
sister, Mary Paliani;
sisters-in-law, Helen Pellegrini and Viola (Gildo) Finateri.
She was preceded in death by her husband Rocco; son, Rocco John Grossi, Jr.; brother, Sam Pellegrini; sister-in-law, Rose Kurtz and brother-in-law, Angelo Paliani; mother and father-in-law, Guerino and Filomena Grossi.
The family wishes to thank Chris and Victoria Kelly and their staff at Western Hills Living and Heartland Hospice for the love and care they gave to Lola.
