ROSS, Robert D. “Bob” – of Birch Run, age 65, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Thursday, February 2, 2017 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Birch Run. Rev. Michele Hile officiating. Burial in Birch Run Township Cemetery. Family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1PM until 8PM and Thursday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. Contributions in memory of Bob may be made to the Birch Run Class of 1964 Scholarship Fund.
Bob was born August 27, 1951 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Josh and Betty (Rousseau) Ross. He was a 1969 graduate of Birch Run High School. Bob was a loyal and proud supporter of all Birch Run sports and the Birch Run Class of 1964 Scholarship Fund. He was U of M’s biggest fan and enjoyed NASCAR and local racing venues. Bob retired from Eby-Brown in 2014 after 25 years of service. Bob was “uncle Bob” too many, especially his nieces and nephews as well as throughout the community. Bob will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Surviving are: Daughter, Vanessa Leigh Ross of Birch Run; Son, Robbie Ross (Rachel) of Seattle, WA; Sisters: Diane (Moe) Moody of Clio, and Cheryl Hadsall of Birch Run; Brother, Tom (Mary) Ross of Henderson, NV; nieces and nephews: Jennifer Stein of Birch Run, Trisha Stein (Mark Gaffney) of Detroit, Brian (Alicia) Parlato of Gladstone, MI, Jason Ross (Jessie Haubenstricker) of Reese, Julie Ross of Birch Run; Special friend, Marsha Schwartz of Clio; Please sign our guest book or share an online condolence with the family at www.oguinnfh.com.
