LITTLE, Genevieve L. "Jean" - Fenton, Michigan, age 92, surrounded by her loving daughters singing her favorite hymns entered heaven's gates on Sunday, February 2, 2020, at Hospice of the Valley in Glendale, Arizona.
Genevieve was born in Kinde, Michigan, on December 22, 1927, to the late Otto and Edith Bauer and was a resident of Port Huron, Reed City, Flushing, and Fenton, Michigan most of her life. She also lived in Tucson and Phoenix, Arizona. She married Carl W. Little on October 3, 1947, and he preceded her in death on May 6, 2000.
She began singing as a child, along with her sister Betty, at Griswold Street Baptist Church and on WHLS radio in Port Huron, Michigan. Throughout her life she was a guest soloist and sang in the choirs in Reed City, Flushing First Baptist Church, Riverdale Baptist Church, Flint Nazarene and Catalina Baptist Church. While attending Flint Nazarene Church she had the opportunity to tour with the choir that performed in many cities in both California and Trinidad. In recent years she continued to enjoy singing for the residents while residing at Merrill Garden Independent Living in Anthem. Arizona.
While living in Michigan, Genevieve was a fashion model for fine clothes. She also enjoyed interior design and décor, often volunteering her time and talents to the church, daughters, and friends’ homes.
Surviving are her four daughters, Jane, and husband Joe Buhagiar of Linden, Michigan; Lee Ann Little of Houston, Texas;, Shelley and husband Robert Kost of Flint, Michigan; and Kim and husband Dr. Peter Rillero of Anthem, Arizona. Genevieve was blessed with twelve grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, three sisters, and many nieces and nephews.
A private funeral service will be held at Swartz Funeral Home in Grand Blanc, Michigan. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Grand Blanc.
