Lucille Mable Fluty, age 86, passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2015. Lucille was born on January 19, 1929 in Cassie, West Virginia to parents Ezra and Alice (Blackburn) Copley. She married the love of her life, Lucian Fluty, on June 27, 1947, and to this union two sons were born. Lucille had several hobbies which included hunting, fishing, golfing, gardening, cooking for her family, talking politics, and supporting her favorite team the Detroit Tigers. Her family describes her as a generous, kind, loving, and intelligent woman who was always enthusiastic about life. She was very supportive of her children and grandchildren, and undoubtedly the center of her family. Lucille is survived by her husband of 68 years, Lucian Fluty; sons: Larry (Nancy) Fluty, and Julian (Julee Henderson) Fluty; grandchildren: Stacey Fluty, Joseph Fluty, Jacob (Linsey) Fluty; great grandchildren: Gabriel Fluty, Jackson Castor-Fluty, Jacob Fluty, Jr., Brooke Fluty, Braden Fluty, Lucas Fluty, Lucille Fluty, and Roslyn Fluty; one great-great grandchild on the way; sister, Mary McCoy of Kentucky; sisters-in-law: Thelma Altice, Nadine Goble, and Joyce Samman. She was preceded in death by both parents; several sisters; one brother; daughter-in-law, Lynne Fluty. In memory of Lucille, please consider making a donation to the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 822. Funeral services will be held at 1pm (revised time) on Monday, December 7, 2015 at Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held from 4-8pm on Sunday, December 6, 2015 at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. |
