HUTCHINSON, Charles E. -of Davison, age 72, died Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Genesys Regional Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 10, 2017 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Pastor Mark Wentzel and Pastor Dave Pompo co-officiating.
Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Clio.
Those desiring may make contributions to a charity of one's choice.
Visitation 4-8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Charles was born in Flint, Michigan on August 1, 1944, the son of the late Charles and Daphine (Case) Hutchinson.
On July 16, 1994 he married Sally McKinstry in Mill City, Oregon on a motorcycle trip.
Charles was a member of Living Grace Community Church in Davison.
Throughout his life he loved his Harley, playing cards, especially with his Pinochle’ buddies; was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing pool.
He especially loved spending time with his family.
He was a member of the Davison Senior Center, and Burton Senior Center.
Mr. Hutchinson retired from GM as a Tool Grinder at Buick, after 43 years of service and was a member of UAW Local #599.
Surviving are wife, Sally;
children, Stacey and husband Michael Harper,
Kimberly and husband Jeffrey Suntken,
Cathy and husband Brian Toro;
step-children, Darren Hyde and fiancee’ Barb Hobson,
Darcy Gyaltso and Betsy Curtis;
grandchildren, Lauren (Enghui) Lee, Shelby “Alexandra” (Nate) Harper-Brees, Nicholas Simons, Carissa (Justin) Harrington, Darrald (Krystina) Martin, Joseph (Mersadie) Farmer, Dylan Martin, Jeffrey Suntken, Sierra (Travis) Thorington, Devon Hutchinson, Vanessa Pompey, Cameron Pompey, Louis King, Jim King, Cailey Hyde, Brittany (Shannon) Clark, Robin (Will) Gillium and Alex Erickson;
12 great-grandchildren and one on the way; sisters, Nancy and husband Delbert Snider, Karen and husband Rodger Mead;
many nieces, nephews and loving dog, Cassy.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Christine Marie Hutchinson; son, Charles Todd Hutchinson; step-daughter, Denise King-Welch and sister, Judy Covey and brother-in-law, Glenn Covey.
