FERRELL, Ford C. – Of Flint, age 83, died Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at his home on hospice, with his loving family present.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 2020
at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Brother OSL Maurice Midgley officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Visitation 4-8 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Ford was born in Kayford, West Virginia on October 2, 1936, the son of the late Charles D. and Dorothy M. (Spence) Ferrell.
On April 1, 1957, he married Rachael Roberts and she passed in 2010.
Ford proudly served in the United States Marine Corps.
He enjoyed motorcycles, traveling, stock car races and riding his bicycle.
Surviving are children, Tim (Tina) and Deborah (Hank);
7 grandchildren;
13 great-grandchildren and
brother, Gary.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rachael, in 2010; son, Michael, in 2004; 2 sisters, Toby and Patsy and one brother, Conlin.
