WISEMAN, Earl R., age 90, passed away Friday, September 27, 2013 in Grand Blanc. Funeral Services will be 1:00PM Saturday, October 5, 2013, Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc, with Dr. Max B. Hayden officiating. Entombment will be at Crestwood Memorial Mausoleum. Visitation will be 10AM until time of service at the funeral home. In Lieu of Flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Congregational United Church of Christ.
Earl was born October 7, 1922 in South Bend, Indiana the son of the late Raymond Harold and Alta Mae (Ross) Wiseman. He married Patricia Louise Annis in South Bend, IN on September 28, 1947 and she preceded him in death on May 29, 2008.
Earl was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving as Staff Sergeant during WWII. He was employed by General Motors as a Logistics Director in Corporate Materials Management until his retirement in 1987. Earl was previously employed for 14 years by the Studebaker Corporations, South Bend, IN as a Traffic Director. He was a faithful member of First Congregational United Church of Christ, belonged to the Flint Elks Club #222, the American Legion, and National Association of the 10th Mountain Division (WWII). He also was a member of Delta Nu Alpha Transportation Fraternity, Past President of South Bend, IN Transportation Club and the Buick Salaried Retirees Club.
He is survived by his children, Craig D. and wife, Karen of Kyle, TX, Gail C. and husband Chapin Cook of Grand Blanc; grandchildren, Brad and wife, Kristen Rhoades of Waterford, Kevin and wife, Elisa Wiseman of Spring, TX, and Christie and husband, Travis Clark of Cedar Park, TX; great-grandchildren, Caden and Liam Rhodes, Caroline and Valerie Wiseman; step-grandchildren, Patrick J. Cook and Elizabeth Cook of Chicago; brother, Harold Wiseman of Elkhart, IN; and several nieces and nephews.
