KAZA, Elaine Lucille – of Flint, age 81, passed away March 29, 2015 at Genesys Health Park. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at St. Mary’s Church, 2500 N. Franklin, Flint; Rev. Fr. Santhiyagu Arockiyasamy celebrant. Burial will be in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Monday and 1-8 PM Tuesday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Wednesday at church. A Rosary will be prayed at 7 PM on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Church in Flint.
Elaine was born in Flint, MI on January 11, 1934, daughter of the late Louis and Helen (Kazyak) Dasky. She graduated from St. Mary’s of Flint in 1951 and St. Mary’s of Saginaw, School of Nursing in 1954. Elaine married Thomas E. Kaza in 1955 at St. Mary’s Church in Flint and he preceded her in death in 2012. She worked at St. Joseph Hospital in Flint for 30 years as a RN. Elaine was a lifetime member of St. Mary’s Church in Flint.
Elaine is survived by children, Mary (Mark) McDiarmid, Julie (Martin) Potter, Susan Saultman, Karen (Doug) Williams, Joe (Debbie) Kaza and Paul Kaza; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Irene Shustock. She was preceded in death by son, Anthony in 1959; grandson, Michael in 1982; brother, Ambrose Dasky.
