JAGOS, Mildred Rose (Trn) – of Burton, MI, age 88, passed away peacefully April 8, 2017 at Chandler Memory Care in Chandler, AZ, where she was living with her son, Vic and his wife, Cathy. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 AM Monday, April 17, 2017 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, G-5199 Richfield Rd., Flint, MI 48506; Rev. Fr. Roy Horning celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Swartz Creek, MI. The family will receive visitors 4-8 PM Friday, April 14, 2017 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423 and 9:30-10:30 AM Monday, April 17, 2017 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. A Rosary will be prayed 7 PM Friday, April 14, 2017 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley Fund Development, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014-5656, in Mildred’s memory.
Mildred was born in Flint, MI on May 27, 1928, daughter of the late John and Rose (Chovenic) Trn. She married Anthony Jagos on April 23, 1949. They shared 62 wonderful years together until his death on April 24, 2011. Mildred was a lifetime member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mildred was an excellent caretaker of her home, she enjoyed gardening and was a wonderful cook, especially authentic Czech meals.
Mildred is survived by 4 sons, Vic (Cathy), Tony, Rod (Chris) and Mark (Beth); 8 grandchildren, Kathleen, Erik, Rachel, Joseph, Brett, Nick, Kate and Nicole; 11 great-grandchildren, Caleb, Jacob, Caden, Gabriel, Samantha, Abby, Andrew, Ally, Tyler, Alex and Eddie; special niece, Stefanie; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by sister, Marie “Mary” L. Adkins.
The family would like to extend a very sincere thank you to Mildred’s son, Vic and his wife, Cathy Jagos for their loving and compassionate care.
