BUTTS, Sandra Marie "Sandy" - age 67, of Flint Twp, died Saturday, June 2, 2018. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton with Pastor James Mascow officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery in Flint. Visitation will be held from 11 AM - 2 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Humane Society of Genesee County or the charity of one's choice. Sandy was born January 30, 1951 in Flint, the daughter of James O. and Mary Jean (Lawrence) Phaneuf. She was a graduate of Carmen High School and received a Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree from the University of Michigan. Sandy married Michael Butts on January 2, 1971. She owned and operated a family business with parents and brother, Jim's Lawn Shop, for 54 years. Sandy and her husband, Michael were members of the Metamora Carriage and Driver Association. She had a love of horses and all animals. Surviving are: husband, Michael of Flint; daughter, Katy and husband, Chris Peckham of Fort Wayne, IN; two grandchildren, Wesley and Connor Peckham; mother, Mary Jean Phaneuf; brother, David Phaneuf and wife, Cindy of Swartz Creek; and her beloved dog, Charlee.
