DAUNT, James L. - Of Frankenmuth, age 80, died Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Reverence Hospice.

The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 11am at St. Michael Catholic Church, 609 East Fifth Avenue, Flint.

Mr. Daunt will lie in state in church Saturday after 10am.

Rev. Monsignor Richard J. Groshek will preside and entombment will follow in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery with Military Honors.

James was born in Flint on April 20, 1934, the son of J. Fred and Kathryn (Lawrence) Daunt. Jim graduated in 1952 from St. Michael High School. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Jim was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Ancient Order of Hibernians. Jim was a salesman at Radio Distributors in Saginaw, and moved his family to Florida in 1966, where he sold real estate for many years. Returning to Michigan, he formed Magnus Marketing and sold advertising specialties.

Surviving are children, Janine (John) Lascelles of Las Vegas, NV, Michael, Kristine (Phillip) Blackman and Andrea (Dennis) Kidd, all of Albuquerque, NM;

grandchildren, Jenna (Aladdin) Gundogan, Jade Lascelles and Bo and Veronica Kidd;

great-grandchildren, Aydin, Selma and Leyla Gundogan;

mother of his children, Betty Reisig Daunt;

also twelve siblings, including twin brother, Jack, and many nieces and nephews;

and special friend, Diane Mucha.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jerry.
