BROWN, Donald Melvin- Age 71, of Grand Blanc, died Wednesday, October 1, 2014. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, October 5 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Pastor Mark Cox officiating. Visitation will be held 12-2 PM and 4-8 PM Saturday, and 12 PM until the time of service Sunday. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Lung Association.

Donald was born May 10, 1943 in Flint, MI, the son of Gideon Paul and Loretta Louise(Hulverson) Brown. He married Janice on April 10, 1994 in Las Vegas, NV.
He worked at General Motors Buick Hydra-Matic Plant #4 as a Millwright, was a proud supporter and member of the UAW, retiring in 1997 after 35 years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed duck, pheasant & deer hunting along with salmon fishing. Donald was also a member of Ducks Unlimited. He loved traveling in his motor home and trips to Las Vegas. Above all, his Wife, Children and Grandchildren were the light in his life, and the twinkle in his eyes. His greatest joy was being in the midst of them and the love and laughter that prevailed.

Donald is survived by his wife, Janice; children, David (Jude) Brown of Fenton, Tammy(Dennis) Arnold of Davison, Mark (Angeline) Brown of Davison, Tim Brown of Waterford; step-children, Kirk (Sunshine) Weber of Troy, Kevin (Sarah) Weber of Grand Rapids; grandchildren, Justin Brown, Lance Arnold, Grant Arnold, Madison Arnold, Jason Spangler, Sydnie Brown, Riley Weber, Reid Weber, MacKenzie Weber and Viola Weber. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Fred Brown and daughter, Tonya Brown. Tributes may be shared on the obituaries page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
