DANIELS, William C. – of Mt. Morris, age 82, died Thursday, September 17, 2015 at his residence. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 6PM Sunday, September 20, 2015 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Ed Emmerling officiating. Military Honors will be conducted under the direction of the Clio Gordon R. Bennett VFW Post #1452. Inurnment in Flint Memorial Park at a later date. Family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Sunday from 3PM until the time of service at 6PM. Contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

William was born February 2, 1933 in Flint, Michigan to the late Robert and Mary (Slusser) Daniels. He married Lureta Schram February 21, 1953. Mr. Daniels is a U.S. Army Veteran. William retired from Chevrolet in 1980 with 20 years of service. He was a member of the Beecher championship football team that was inducted into the Greater Flint Hall of Fame from 1950-1951. William served on the Mt. Morris board, as well as the Beecher School District and was a Beecher Fireman for many years. He was known around his neighborhood as the handyman and was always around to offer a helping hand. William enjoyed watching football, riding horses, working on farms, hunting and fishing. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and grandkids.

Surviving are: Wife, Lureta Daniels of Mt. Morris; Children: William (Janet) Daniels II of Mt. Morris, Robert (Carol) Daniels of Mt. Morris, Dureta (Gaetan) Manningham of Mt. Morris, Lori Daniels-Smith of Mt. Morris and Angela Daniels of Mt. Morris; 12 grandchildren: Willian (Stacey) Daniels III, Michael Daniels, Catrina Coulter, Robert Daniels, Jason (Janice) Manningham, Michelle Manningham, Nicholas Manningham, Tahnee Smith, James Smith, Tara (Jose) Hernandez, Jose Saldana and Antonio Saldana; 13 great-grandchildren.
