PALMER, Francis L. "Pete" - Age 85, of Burton, died Tuesday, October 25, 2016. Funeral services will be held 1PM Friday, October 28, 2016 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Pastor John Grantham officiating. Burial will follow in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be held 11AM until time of service at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to Grace Hospice. Pete was born in Fair Center Twp. the son of the late Lafayette J.B. and Beaulah (Chapman) Palmer. He married Patricia Sherwood in Flint on May 17, 1952. Pete enjoyed working on motors and was a jack of all trades. Mr. Palmer owned and operated City Tire Service of Flint and Pete Palmer and Daughter Asphalt of Grand Blanc. Surviving are: loving wife of 64 years, Patricia Palmer of Burton; children, Susan (Robert) Guenther of Grand Blanc, Joyce White of Flint Township, Diana (Steve) White of Burton, Francis "Roy" Jr. of Swartz Creek, Pamela (David) Norris of Flint; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren; great great grandchildren and one on the way. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Josephine "Jody" Palmer, grandson, Robert Guenther Jr.; granddaughter, Candice Coppo; brother, James Palmer; daughter-in-law, Teresa "Angell" Palmer and sons-in-law.
