DICKERSON, Juanita Joyce – Died peacefully in Clio, Michigan on Monday, November 14, 2016 at the age of 88.
Juanita leaves to cherish her loving memory; daughter, Julia Carter; son-in-law, Jerome Carter;
grandchildren, Tracy English (Miles), Tairus Taylor (Lamar), Thomas Carter;
great-grandchildren, Sabrina, Shelby, Sydnie and Harrison;
sisters-in-law, Janes S., Mary Jane C. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Juanita is preceded in death by her husband, John H. Dickerson, Sr.; her son, John (Johnny) H. Dickerson Jr;
siblings, Alberta, Gertrude, Irving, Madeline, Nellie and Walter.
Born on August 14, 1928 in Flint, Michigan, Juanita was the youngest child of Robert and Blanche Sims.
Juanita graduated from high school in Detroit, Michigan and attended West Virginia State College.
She married John (a veteran and retiree of Ford Motor Co.) in 1950.
Living in Inkster, Michigan, Juanita was employed as a Legal Secretary and later as a Court Reporter in Wayne County.
Juanita enjoyed swimming, boating and skiing in Idlewild, Michigan at the family cottage. She loved to cook, entertain, read and travel.
Juanita loved Jehovah God and she was passionate about sharing Bible truths with everyone she met. She was a loving and caring person for her family and friends. She made an impression on everyone she met.
The Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road in Flint, MI.
Cremation has taken place.
Visitation with the family is 12 noon until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
