TAYLOR, Catherine Ann “Mema”- Of Davison, age 80, died Friday, July 8, 2016 at Genesee Care Center.
Visitation 12-8pm Sunday and 10am Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be held 11 am Monday, July 11, 2016 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Dr. Gary Glanville officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Catherine was born in Beckley, West Virginia on August 1, 1935. Catherine was a member of Swartz Creek United Methodist Church. She loved being at her place at Leisure Lake and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Catherine was a nurse for 45 years, spending the last 27 years of her nursing career at Genesys Convalescent Center, formerly Grand Blanc Convalescent Center.
Surviving are 5 children, Pam and husband Jerry McMillin of Lennon, Susie and husband Robert Gaines of Swartz Creek, John Taylor II and Michelle of Flint, Robert and wife Pam Taylor of Lennon and Lori Matthews of Grand Blanc;
15 grandchildren, Jerry, Cindi, Krissy, Kimberli, Chad, Nikki, Johnnie, Matt, Felicia, Kenny, Brad, Bobbi Lee, Felicia, Katti and Joe;
She also has 24 great-grandchildren with 2 on the way;
Brother, Ken Williams of Florida;
Her friends at Leisure Lake and Taekens Terrace and her dear friend Gail;
and she loved her dog, Bronner.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Catherine Reichel and former husband, John “Bunk” Taylor.
