GOULD, Ruth C. – Of Flint, age 89, died Monday, August 15, 2016 at Durand Senior Care & Rehab Center.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, August 19, 2016 at Faith Missionary Church, 1327 North Elms Road, Flint, Pastor Brent Kriesch and Pastor Doug Connelly officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to The Salvation Army, Alzheimer’s Association or Faith Missionary Church.
Visitation 1-8 p.m. Thursday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Mrs. Gould will be at the church from 12 p.m. Friday until the time of the service.
Ruth was born in Flint, Michigan on November 6, 1926, the daughter of Harry and Edna Graves.
She graduated from Central High School.
On August 30, 1947 she married Walter Gould and he preceded her in death on June 10, 1992.
She was a member of Faith Missionary Church (Cross Church).
She loved gardening, doing crossword puzzles, playing Skip-Bo, shopping, but most important was spending time with her family.
Mrs. Gould worked for the former Michigan Bell Telephone Company for over 26 years.
Surviving are two children, Sharon (Jerry) House,
Gary (Sandy) Gould;
10 grandchildren;
several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren;
sister, Helen Janice Skunda;
sister-in-law, Gaynell Graves;
many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two brothers and one sister.
