OWENS, James Fred- of Clio, age 80, died Saturday, April 21, 2012 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 1PM on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Rev. Larry Survance officiating. Burial will be in Thetford Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12-9PM, and Thursday from 9AM until the time of services.
James was born August 2, 1931 in Dyersburg, TN to the late Neely and Ellen (Nanny) Owens. He married Mary Syble Brown on July 1, 1950 in Piggot, AR. James proudly served in the U.S. Army.
Surviving are: Wife, Mary; Children, Avis Lloyd, Jim Owens, Rita (Joe) Thayer, Rick (Sherry) Owens, Rob Owens, Jack Owens, David Owens; 21 Grandchildren; 22 Great-Grandchildren.
