RING, Elizabeth “Betty” (Krascell) – of Columbiaville, MI, age 81, passed away Friday, January 26, 2018. A Funeral Liturgy will be held 11 AM Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski officiating. Interment in Hollenbeck Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 2-4 PM & 6-8 PM Wednesday, January 31, 2018 and 10-11 AM Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home. A Rosary will be prayed 7 PM Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, in Betty’s memory.
Betty was born in Flint, MI on August 18, 1936, daughter of the late Louis and Elizabeth (Vargo) Krascell. She married Larry Ring on January 14, 1956 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Betty was employed as a custodian with Columbiaville Elementary School in the Lakeville School District, retiring in 2003 after 35 years of service.
Betty is survived by her husband of 62 years, Larry; 5 children, Victoria Mira, Elizabeth (Michael) Alexander, Colleen (John) McKeon, Lori Shannon and Thomas S. Ring; 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren on the way; 3 brothers; 1 sister; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by son-in-law, Bret Alan Shannon, Sr. and brother, Louis Krascell.
