PERANI, Bob – Of Fenton, age 69, died Sunday, April 15, 2012 during an international flight.
Funeral service will be held 6p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2012 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Family and friends officiating.
Cremation will take place following the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Kris Perani Hockey Foundation.
Visitation 3-5pm and 6-8pm Wednesday and 3pm Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Bob was born in Rome, Italy on August 7, 1942. He moved to Canada in 1951 and then played hockey at St. Lawrence University from 1962-66. In 1967, he married Kris Cooper. Bob then moved to Flint and played for the Flint Generals from 1969-74. He opened up Perani’s Pizza Arena in 1972 and Perani’s Sport Shops in 1976.
Surviving are son Robert (Andrea) of Grand Blanc;
daughter, Lahna (Kevin) Ward of Fenton;
Grandchildren, Emma, Payton, Audrey, Robert, Kiefer, Ben and Ellia;
Brother, Paul;
Nephews, Sean and Ryan;
Brother-in-law, Ric (Yvonne) Cooper;
Special friends, Ryan Snader, Victor and Christin Perez, Frank and Mary Ward, the Reynolds Family, The Huber family and the Glasscock family. Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Kris, mother Poala and father Carlo. Your condolences may be shared with the family at swartzfuenralhomeinc.com
