Joseph Francis Chabica III
Age 64 of Flint passed away Monday, June 15, 2015 at Hurley Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 11am Monday, June 22, 2015 at Owosso First Church of the Nazarene, 1865 M-52 in Owosso with Pastor Brad Stockton officiating. The family will receive friends at Nelson-House Funeral Home on Sunday from 4 to 8pm.
Joseph was born May 18, 1951 in Battle Creek, the son of Joseph and Marion (Cogswell) Chabica.
He graduated from Swartz Creek High and proudly served in the United States Army . Joseph was awarded several accommodations including the Bronze Star Medal and Purple Heart.
Joseph had been employed through the years with General Motors and most recently Pioneer Cabinetry in Davison.
He is survived by his daughter Alicia Bryant; son Brandon Yocom; granddaughters Kendra, Elizabeth and Lainey; sisters Sandra Jelinek, Bette Dale, Loredana Hall, Marta Young, Roberta Sikes and Dawn Yonkman; brother-in-law Don Yonkman; several special nieces and nephews; special friends Nick and Jeana and their children and childhood friend Karen.
Joseph was predeceased by his both his parents, brothers-in-law Darrell Hall and Peter Dale; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Humane Society of Genesee County.
