Jay Larime was born in Flint to Earl and Mary Larime on August 24, 1936. He attended Flint Tech High School, GMI Management Programs and received a Bachelors of Science in Industrial Science from Baker College.
A proud veteran, he served in the United States Air Force for four years with deployments in Japan, Minnesota and Michigan.
He married Janet Cranston on July 11,, 1958 who passed away on July 1, 2001. Jay entered his management career with AC Spark Plug in 1960 and retired in 1996.
Jay is survived by his children Jennifer (Tina), Mark, Joel (Julie) and Amy. Grandchildren include Morgan Larime, Miranda (Dustin) Blanton and Madison Larime and great granddaughter Harper Blanton.
He was preceded in death by his brother Kurt Larime (Fran) and his parents. Jay is survived by his sister Kate Deschner (Rudy).
A passionate gardener, Jay became an Advanced Master Gardener in 2001. His other great passion was golf and playing courses around the country.
After his wife passed away Jay met a wonderful and caring companion in Jan McGee of Grand Blanc. They spent 18 happy years together vacationing in Florida, touring the countries great gardens, crisscrossing the State and enjoying life together.
