Kiacz, James R. of Flushing, died Saturday, April 15, 2017, at McLaren-Flint, surrounded by his family. Cremation has taken place. A memorial Mass will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 21, 2017, at St. Robert Catholic Church. Fr. Anthony Brooks will officiate. The family will receive friends 10 a.m. Friday at the church until the time of the Mass. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
James was born in Flint, Michigan on August 14, 1941, the son of Stephen and Katherine (Slovak) Kiacz. James served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. He retired as a Vice President from Chase Bank after working over 30 years. After his retirement, James enjoyed spending his winters in Scottsdale, Arizona. He was a member of St. Robert Catholic Church. James was a private pilot and enjoyed flying.
He is survived by his sister, Joan and husband George Pajtas of Flushing; brother, Frank Kiacz and Joan Stone, both of Flushing; nieces, Kim Pajtas, Nicole and husband Dennis Grifka; nephews, Frank Kiacz, Jr., Jason Kiacz; threee great-nieces; two great-nephews; special friend and caregiver, John Heinrich of Florida. James was preceded in death by his parents. |
