Miller, Darwin C. – of Flushing, age 78, went home to Jesus on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Pastor Bob Leming officiating. Burial in Montrose Township Cemetery. Family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1-9 PM and Wednesday from 10 AM until time of service. A masonic memorial service will be held at 7 PM Tuesday at the funeral home under the direction of the Montrose Masonic Lodge # 428 F&AM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Montrose Family Worship Center – Building Fund.
Darwin was born April 4, 1937 in Flint, Michigan to the late Cloyce and Freda (Schrader) Miller. He married Bonnie Rae Morris on September 30, 1972 in Montrose. He retired from Complete Design Service in Flint in 2000. Darwin was a member of the Montrose Family Worship Center and was a life member of the Montrose Masonic Lodge # 428 F&AM. He enjoyed golf, travel and yard work.
Surviving are: his wife of 42 years, Bonnie Morrish Miller; Stepdaughter, Vicky Hanson and mate Randy Newton of Gray Court, SC; Step-grandchildren: Jeremy, Ricky and Jillian (Fabian) Paredes - all of McAllen, TX., Sisters: Dorothy Price and Lois Florkowski; Brothers: Ervin Miller and Fred (Darline) Miller; Brothers and sisters in law: Mike (Gloria) Morrish, Lorraine Morrish, Diane Wilder, Pat McMillan and Susan Miller; Darwin was also preceded in death by 4 brothers: Ralph, Cloyce Jr., Donald and Kenneth Miller; Nephews: David and Joel Miller and brothers in law: David Morrish, Bill Wilder and Mike McMillan. A heartfelt thanks to Karen Carpenter and Doctors: Neumann, Saha, Aurora, Singh, Gayar and the entire staff at Michigan Vascular Institute. Also a special thanks to the nursing staff at McLaren's 6th, 10th and 11th floors.
