Donna Marie Bussell, age 83 of Durand, passed away at the Lodge of Durand on Sunday, November 27, 2016. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 2, 2016 at 11am at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Durand Chapel, burial will follow in Byron Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, December 1, 2016 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm.
Donna was born on February 11, 1933 in Highland Twp. to the late Donald and Kathryn Lucile (Wakeman) Hudson. She graduated from Byron High School and on April 8, 1974 she married Donald Bussell in Davison. Donna worked at General Motors as an expeditor until her retirement. Donna enjoyed baking, gardening, sewing, and anything to do with flowers. She was always ready with a birthday or wedding cake. She was a member of the Flint Genealogical Society, The Michigan Historical Museum and the Sloan Museum.
Donna is survived by her sons; Donald (Brooke) Sneed, Jerry (Laurie) Sneed, Robert Sneed, and two stepsons; David and Donald Bussell. Her grandchildren; Donald (Stacey) Sneed, Jamie Sneed, Andrew Sneed, Eric (Jackie) Sneed, Ashley Sneed, Randy Sneed, Chelsey Sneed, and Kelly Sneed, also 8 great-grandchildren. Her siblings; Dorothy (Jerry) Stewart, Robert (Beverly) Hudson, and Patricia (Mark) Parsons.
She was predeceased by her husband Donald in 1984, brother Paul Hudson, and sisters; Arlene Gulick and Carol Hudson. |
