BARTON, Douglas C. - Of Graying formerly of Clio, age 83, died Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at his residence.
Visitation only 11am-7pm Friday, June 7, 2024 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Douglas was born in Flint, Michigan on January 3, 1941, the son of Carl and Helen (Wyzina) Barton. Douglas enjoyed hunting and fishing and going to casinos. He was a member of the Eagles and the Moose Lodge. Douglas was employed with and retired from Buick.
Surviving are daughter, Theresa (Bill) Frederick of Flushing;
grandchildren, Jamie Erickson and Ryan Cousineau of Clio, Jessica (Anthony) Collins of Fenton;
great-grandchildren, Blake, Addison, Hudson and Rhett;
sisters, Carol Latham of Morrice-Vassar and Connie Knighton of Texas;
brothers, Fred and wife Kristen Duncan of Clio and Jim and wife Betty Duncan of Texas;
sister-in-law, Gloria Arnold;
niece, Krista Latham and
nephew, Kevin Lathan.
A special thank you to Cheryl, Brian and Toni, Keith and Tammy, Guy, Dean, Compassus Hospice of Gaylord and Grayling Infusion Center for all their wonderful care.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Paula, in 2018 and brother, Bill Arnold.
