Elaine Marie Krupp
Age 76 of Chesaning passed away on Friday, June 28, 2019 at Memorial Healthcare.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Monday, July 1, 2019 at St. Michael's Catholic Church of Maple Grove. Burial will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Nelson-House Funeral Homes Martin Chapel on Sunday, June 30 from 2:00 to 8:00pm with a Scripture service at 7:00pm. Visitation will also be held at the church on Monday from 10:00am until the service.
Elaine was born on March 14, 1943 to Elmer and Dorothy (Gross) Schlachter in Flint. She married Leon R. Krupp on September 21, 1963; they celebrated 51 years of marriage before he predeceased her in 2014.
Elaine was a loving homemaker all her life. She has an adventurous spirit and loved trying new things. Her love for life, family, and adventure was infectious. Elaine had many hobbies during her life, including camping, traveling, kayaking, jigsaw puzzles, crosswords, reading, and gardening. More than anything, she loved having good times with her family and friends. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church.
Elaine is survived by her 3 children, Chris Krupp, Kevin (April) Krupp, and Eric (Kelly) Krupp; her 7 grandchildren, Aubrey, Courtney, Tyler, Riley, Kora, Peace, and Grace; her companion, Don Bishop; her siblings, Barb (Lee) Thayer, Norma (Louis) Gross, Emily (John) Butcher, Les Schlachter, and Nick (Cindy) Schlachter; and her good friend, Char Buhler.
She is predeceased by her husband, Leon; her parents, Elmer and Dorothy Schlachter; and her brother, Steve Schlachter.
