Age 86, of Clio, formerly of Lakeview, went Home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 25, 2019, at Gross Assisted Living in Clio. Funeral service will take place, 1:00 pm, Monday, April 29, 2109, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Service in Mt. Morris. Pastor Zane Abberger and Pastor Joey Henry will officiate. Burial will follow at Flint Memorial Park. Eva’s family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm and on Monday, from 12:00 noon until time of service at 1:00 pm.
Eva was born October 31, 1932, in Owosso, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank and Viola (Sanders) Austin. Eva graduated from Ovid High School in 1951. She and Gordon Roy were united in marriage on June 27, 1959, in Flint. He proceeded her in death on November 13, 2017. Eva was an active member of Lakeview Baptist Church, where she volunteered in many ways. She enjoyed reading, poetry, crosswords, word search, and the outdoors. She taught poetry at the Lakeview Baptist Church for several years.
Eva leaves to cherish her memory two children: Brian Roy, and Lisa Roy; brother, Duane, and wife, Sue Austin; sister, Leona, and husband, Jack Lauback; and brother-in-law, Chuck Roy.
