Age 94, of Swartz Creek, died July 14, 2019. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 402 S. Ballenger Hwy., Flint. Burial will follow in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6-8 PM Monday, July 22 and 2-4 & 6-8 PM Tuesday, July 23 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, our temporary location at Hill Creek Church, 5363 Hill Rd., Swartz Creek and from 10 AM until the time of service Wednesday. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Swartz Creek Veterans Memorial or Michigan Heroes Museum. Rose was born November 9, 1924 in Evanston, IL, the daughter of William John and Rose Wilhelmina (Bruhn) Niebur. She was married to Melvin Palo on September 1, 1946; he preceded her in death on June 18, 2010. Mrs. Palo retired from Hurley Medical Center, where she was an LPN, after 25 years of service. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She volunteered at Hurley and the Flint Institute of Music. She is survived by her children, Kurt R. (Jackie) Palo, Kristine (Francisco) Garcia and Mark K. Palo; grandchildren, Alicia and Elizabeth Garcia, Steve (Raquel) Runge; great-grandchildren, John Phillip Runge, Hope Evangeline Runge and Cash Ezra Garcia-Miller; several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents and sister, Marian Schoessow. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com |
