LEISS, Maudie P. – Of Burton, age 98, died Friday, May 26, 2017 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, John Cox officiating.
Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.
Visitation 11 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Maudie was born in Monette, Arkansas on December 7, 1918, the daughter of the late Jack and Rachel (Decker) Davis.
She was a member of the Eagles.
She loved gardening, crocheting and spending time with her family.
Maudie retired from GM in 1982.
Surviving are children, Mahlon Leiss of Burton and
Sue (Beaird) Daniel of Burton;
10 grandchildren, John (Arlene) Beaird,
Don and Karin Beaird,
Polly Beaird,
Danny (Sheila) Leiss,
Rickie (Marcy) Leiss,
Chris Leiss,
Tom (Cindy) Leiss,
Moie Leiss,
Cari (Buck) Phillips and Mike Beaird;
son-in-law, Bud Beaird;
15 great-grandchildren and
21 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by daughter, Lervine Beaird.
