BOROWIAK, Victor H. “Vic” – of Mt. Morris, age 83, died Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at Hurley Medical Center in Flint. Funeral services will be held 11AM Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Ed Emmerling officiating. Burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday from 12PM until 8PM and on Tuesday from 10AM until the time of service 11AM. Memorial contributions may be made to ASPCA.
Vic was born April 9, 1936 in Flint, Michigan to the late Joseph and Angeline (Meaka) Borowiak. He graduated from Flint Central High School in 1956. He spent 20 years working for Teamsters Lathers Local #1028-L, in Flint. After 20 years at Teamsters Vic went on to work for General Motors. He spent 20 years at General Motors until his retirement. Vic was a member of UAW Local #651, the “Old Timers” bowling league, and volunteered at Town and Country Lanes, helping the blind to bowl. Most would say that Vic was extremely hard working and a bit sarcastic. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting and fishing. In his earlier years, Vic enjoyed spending time at his cabin up north. Most of all, he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Surviving are: Children: Rick Borowiak, Mark Borowiak, and Vicki (Chris) Spring; Grandchildren: Chasidy (Larry) Long, Holly (Eric) Van Vleet, Shannon (Danny) Foster, Melissa Borowiak, Mandy (Joseph) Cervantes, Mark Borowiak II, Autumn Spring, and Brooker Spring; 8 great grandchildren and significant other, Denise Irgane. He was also preceded in death by: Sons: Timothy and Kevin Borowiak; Sisters: Veronica Person, Delores Wears, Barbara Borowiak, and Patricia Borowiak.
