HAMADY, Carolyn J. – Of Flint, age 82, died Saturday, January 20, 2018 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Jeremy Peters officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Visitation 1-3 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Carolyn was born in Flint, Michigan on October 24, 1935, the daughter of the late Clayton and Clara (Stout) Parker.
On June 15, 1968 she married Grant Hamady.
Mrs. Hamady taught at Dort Elementary, Carpenter Road School, Whittier Middle School, Lowell Middle School and retired from McKinley Middle School in 2002. She was a special education teacher for 20 years and she was a very dedicated teacher.
She was also a dance teacher for many years; instructor and member of the Cecchetti Council.
She enjoyed doing arts and crafts.
Surviving are husband, Grant;
son, David and wife Biana Hamady;
granddaughter, Isabella Hamady;
brother-in-law, Ronald Hamady; sister-in-law, Nawal Sandra Alley;
cousins, Lori Tesh,
Linda and husband Todd Whitbeck,
Charlotte and husband Walter Johnson,
Robert and wife Melissa Tuuri,
Donald and wife Susannah Turri,
David and wife Ann Marie Tuuri and Susan Tuuri.
