LeRoy Joseph "Chilo" Rheaume
Age 83 of Owosso passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at the Hospice House of Shiawassee County.
A Memorial Service will be held 12pm Saturday, March 18, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church with Pastor Cal Long officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 11am until the time of service.
LeRoy was born August 5, 1933 in Lake Linden, the son of John and Diane (Massie) Rheaume.
He graduated from Lake Linden -Hubbell High School, class of 1952, served in the United States Army during the Korean War and attended the GM Institute for 2 years.
LeRoy was an avid sportsman and looked forward to fishing. He especially enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren at their many activities and sporting events. He also enjoyed going to coffee hour with friends at the First United Methodist Church where he attended.
He married Gail Elizabeth Glanville in Lake Linden on October 29, 1955.
LeRoy retired from General Motors after 25 years of service as a machinist.
LeRoy is survived by his wife Gail; sons Scott Rheaume and Kirk (Gussy) Rheaume; daughter Susan (Larry) Fries; grandchildren Aaron (Jessica) Rheaume, Matthew Rheaume, Jenna Fries and Preston Rheaume; great-granddaughters Isabella, Ellison and Allegra; many other loving family and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents; brothers Robert and Ransom Rheaume; sisters Geraldine Blau, Violet Josephson, Betty Jean Wilshire and Katherine Schmuhl; daughter-in-law Paula Rheaume.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the First United Methodist Church of Owosso, Hospice House of Shiawassee County, or The Shiawassee County Humane Society.
