TACKABURY, Dean A. - Of Fenton, age 81, died Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held 1pm Friday, April 10, 2015 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor James Mascow officiating.
Entombment in Tyrone Memorial Gardens
Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Visitation 2-8pm Thursday and 12 Noon Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Dean was born in Flint on May 12, 1933, to the late James and Jessie (Palmer) Tackabury. He graduated from Flint Northern High School. Dean served his country in the United States Air Force. On September 1, 1956, he married Margaret Silcock in Flint. Dean worked for General Motors in the Purchasing Department, retiring in 1986. He was a member of Mayfair Bible Church and Tyrone Covenant Presbyterian. He loved to hunt, fish, gardening, carpentry, electrical work and plumbing. Dean loved his family and enjoyed talking with people.
Surviving are wife, Margaret;
son, Mike Tackabury;
grandsons, Ryan Tackabury and David Plamondon;
and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by daughter-in-law, Shelly Tackabury, brothers, Ed, Jim and Eugene and sisters, Maxine and Geraldine.
