DAVIS, James O. (J.D.) – of Beaverton, formerly of Davison and Bradenton Beach, age 80, passed away peacefully October 23, 2016 at his residence. A Funeral Liturgy will be held 2 PM Friday, October 28, 2016 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be from 11 AM until time of service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
James was born in Monongah, WV on February 2, 1936, son of Harold and Veronica (McDonald) Davis. He married Dorothy Ratajczak on August 24, 1963. James worked at Chevrolet in the hole for 30 years. He was a lifelong member of the Eagles, the Moose, Arrow Cordials and UAW #659. James was an avid hunter, outdoorsman and euchre player.
James is survived by his wife, Dorothy; children, Colleen Brown and Mike Toms, Glen Davis; grandchildren, Dustin (Tara) Aaron (Shanon), Zach, Ashley (Nathan), Tyler and Travis; great-grandchildren, Rylen, Kingston, Maverick, Scarlett, Knightlee, Hawkins and Jasper; siblings, Joann, Walter, Brenda, Danny, Dobbin; brothers-in-law, Dan (Karen), Terry (Kathy); sister-in-law, Ranae; many close friends, relatives and second kids. He was preceded in death by parents and siblings; son, John; brother-in-law, Jerry.
