SHANN, Gerald F. – of Mt. Morris, age 55, passed away peacefully October 6, 2013 at Genesys Health Park. A Funeral Service will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. Cremation to take place following the service. Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 PM Wednesday and 2-3 PM Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to the March of Dimes.
Gerald was born in Flint, MI on April 17, 1958, son of the late George and Marjorie (Thornton) Shann. He enjoyed golf, watching the Red Wings, pool, hunting, playing sports and especially watching his grandchildren. Gerald retired from GM in 2006 and worked at Pontiac East.
Gerald is survived by his son, Frank (Barb) Shann; grandchildren, Caleb and Kelton; girlfriend, Julie Kowalec; best friend, Brenda Marxer; siblings, William (Lisa) Shann, Kenneth (Joann) Shann, Susan Shann and Lisa (Dorman) Shann; nephews, Timothy and Thomas Shann; many other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Timothy.
