GAGNON, Barbara Jean - Of Flint, age 75, died Monday, June 17, 2013 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held 12noon Saturday, June 22, 2013
at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Hank Messing officiating. (not in newspaper)
Visitation 1-8pm Friday and 10am Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Barbara was born in Flint on December 7, 1937, the daughter of the late Lloyd and Rosella Honea and was a resident of the Flint area all of her life. Barbara married Mark Doria Gagnon on July 24, 1954 at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Flint. Barbara treasured spending time with her two grandsons, Matthew and Trevor. She also enjoyed animals, especially cats. Barbara was a business owner in both Flint and Holly for many years.
Surviving are daughter, Maureen Gagnon and husband Wayne Caunt of Davisburg;
grandchildren, Matthew Gagnon, Trevor Caunt, Jennifer and husband Bill LeClair, Tara Caunt and Ashley Caunt;
great-granddaughter, Emilee LeClair;
brother, Lloyd “Bill” Honea of Flint;
sister, Geraldine and husband Jesse Abraham of Fenton;
several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark in 1998 and daughters Mary Gladys Gagnon in 1955 and Kathleen Gagnon in 1963, sister Sandra Creason in 2010.
