Sandra M. Whitmire
Sandra M. “Beanie” Whitmire, 71 of Gaylord, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at Munson Healthcare Otsego Memorial Hospital. Born in Mt. Clemens, MI on September 21, 1952, the daughter of Louis and Nancy (Williams) Marsack.
Beanie was simple and a no fuss kind of person who truly loved life to the fullest. She was the most unique, positive and selfless person, putting the needs of everyone else first, even strangers. She enjoyed living in Gaylord and being close to her family and was so happy to be up north. She enjoyed camping, playing cards, and talking on the phone with loved ones. Her church, St. Andrew Episcopal, became a place of contentment and safety. She was a wonderful mother and very special grandmother.
She is survived by her children, Brian (Bridget) Whitmire of Brownsburg, IN and Lisa (Michael) Hibner of Gaylord; grandchildren, Trenton, Kylie (Jacob) Flickinger, Allison and Matthew.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will take place at 4pm, Friday August 9th at St. Andrew Episcopal Church with Rev. Pamela Lenartowicz officiating. Following the service, there will be a gathering to celebrate her beautiful life and share stories with “mini” snacks. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church, P. O. Box 920 Gaylord, MI 49734. |
